Abstract:
This abstract provides a concise overview of the study on the role behavior of head teachers and its impact on the career commitment of public senior high school teachers. The study aims to investigate the relationship between the role behavior demonstrated by head teachers and the career commitment exhibited by teachers in public senior high schools.
The role of head teachers in educational institutions is crucial, as they play a significant role in shaping the work environment and influencing the professional development of teachers. Meanwhile, career commitment refers to the level of dedication, loyalty, and engagement that teachers have towards their profession and their organization.
The research methodology employed in this study is a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative surveys and qualitative interviews. A sample of public senior high school teachers will be selected using stratified random sampling techniques, ensuring representation from various schools and demographics. The participants will be asked to complete a questionnaire designed to measure their perceptions of head teachers’ role behavior and their own career commitment.
The quantitative data collected will be analyzed using appropriate statistical techniques, such as correlation analysis and regression analysis, to determine the relationship between head teachers’ role behavior and teachers’ career commitment. The qualitative data from interviews will be thematically analyzed to gain deeper insights into the experiences and perceptions of teachers regarding the influence of head teachers on their career commitment.
The findings of this study will contribute to the existing body of knowledge on educational leadership and teacher commitment. By understanding the role behavior of head teachers and its impact on career commitment, educational policymakers and school administrators can develop strategies and interventions to foster a positive work environment that enhances teacher commitment and ultimately improves educational outcomes.
