Abstract:
This research study aims to investigate the relationship between stress management and students’ academic performance in secondary schools within the Onitsha South Local Government Area. Stress is a prevalent issue among students, and its impact on academic performance has been widely recognized. This study seeks to explore the strategies employed by students to manage stress and examine how these strategies influence their academic achievements.
The research will adopt a quantitative research design, utilizing a structured questionnaire to collect data from a sample of secondary school students in Onitsha South Local Government Area. The questionnaire will assess students’ stress levels, stress management strategies, and academic performance indicators such as grades, study habits, and attendance records. The study will also gather demographic information to understand if there are any variations in stress levels and academic performance across gender, age, and grade levels.
The collected data will be analyzed using appropriate statistical techniques, including correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis, to determine the relationship between stress management strategies and academic performance. The findings of the study will provide valuable insights into the stress levels experienced by students in Onitsha South Local Government Area and identify effective stress management strategies that can positively impact academic performance.
