Abstract:
The influence of peer pressure and parental guidance on the career choices made by secondary school students is a topic of great significance in educational and developmental psychology. This study aims to investigate the impact of peer pressure and parental influence on career decision-making among secondary school students in Ogun State, Nigeria.
The research employs a mixed-methods approach, combining qualitative and quantitative data collection methods. A sample of secondary school students from various schools in Ogun State will be selected through stratified random sampling. The study will use questionnaires to gather quantitative data, while interviews and focus group discussions will be conducted to obtain qualitative insights into the students’ experiences.
