ADOPTION OF CREATIVE FUND GENERATION STRATEGIES IN BUSINESS EDUCATION FOR STUDENTS’ SKILL ACQUISITION AND CAPACITY BUILDING IN TERTIARY INSTITUTIONS IN ABIA STATE

ABSTRACT

This research project aims to investigate the adoption of creative fund generation strategies in business education for students’ skill acquisition and capacity building in tertiary institutions in Abia State. Adequate funding is crucial for the effective delivery of education programmes, and adopting creative strategies can help overcome financial limitations and enhance students’ skill acquisition and capacity building. It is essential to assess the adoption and effectiveness of such strategies in the context of business education in tertiary institutions in Abia State.

A mixed-methods research design will be employed, utilizing surveys, interviews, and case studies to collect data from business education students, faculty members, administrators, and stakeholders in tertiary institutions in Abia State. The research objectives include examining the current fund generation strategies, assessing the impact on students’ skill acquisition and capacity building, and exploring the challenges and success factors associated with the adoption of creative fund generation strategies.

The findings of this research project will contribute to the existing body of knowledge by providing insights into the adoption of creative fund generation strategies in business education for students’ skill acquisition and capacity building in Abia State. The research will assess the current fund generation strategies employed by tertiary institutions, including initiatives such as partnerships with industries, grants and sponsorships, entrepreneurship programs, alumni engagement, and innovative fundraising events. It will evaluate the impact of these strategies on students’ skill acquisition and capacity building, considering factors such as improved access to resources, enhanced practical training opportunities, and increased industry collaboration.
