ABSTRACT

This research project aims to investigate the instructional delivery methods employed by business education lecturers in tertiary institutions in Benue State and their effectiveness in delivering digital skills for decent employment. In today’s rapidly evolving digital landscape, it is crucial for business education programs to equip students with the necessary digital skills to meet the demands of the job market. This study seeks to assess the instructional delivery approaches used by lecturers and their ability to effectively impart digital skills to students for securing decent employment opportunities.

A mixed-methods research design will be utilized, incorporating surveys, interviews, and classroom observations to gather data from business education lecturers and students in tertiary institutions in Benue State. The research objectives include evaluating the instructional delivery methods employed by lecturers, examining the integration of digital skills in the curriculum, and assessing the perceived effectiveness of these methods in fostering decent employment outcomes.

The findings of this research project will contribute to the existing body of knowledge by providing insights into the instructional delivery approaches of business education lecturers and their impact on delivering digital skills for decent employment. The research will evaluate the instructional delivery methods used, such as lectures, case studies, group projects, experiential learning, and the integration of digital tools and technologies. It will assess the extent to which digital skills are incorporated into the curriculum, including topics such as digital literacy, data analysis, online marketing, and entrepreneurship in the digital era. Furthermore, the study will examine the perceived effectiveness of these instructional methods in preparing students for decent employment, including factors such as student satisfaction, skills acquisition, employability, and job placement rates.
