THE BUSINESS EDUCATORS PERCEPTION OF THE USE OF E-LEARNING APPLICATIONS FOR MITIGATING THE IMPACT OF COVID-19 ON THE BUSINESS EDUCATION PROGRAMME IN TARABA STATE

ABSTRACT

This research project aims to explore the perception of business educators regarding the use of e-learning applications for mitigating the impact of COVID-19 on the business education programme in Taraba State. The outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic has disrupted traditional face-to-face education globally, including business education programmes. E-learning applications have emerged as a potential solution to facilitate remote learning and ensure the continuity of education. This study seeks to investigate the perceptions of business educators regarding the effectiveness, challenges, and potential benefits of using e-learning applications in the Taraba State business education programme during the pandemic.

A qualitative research design will be employed, utilizing interviews and focus group discussions to gather data from business educators in Taraba State. The research objectives include examining educators’ perceptions of the effectiveness of e-learning applications in delivering business education, identifying the challenges faced in implementing e-learning, and exploring the potential benefits and limitations of e-learning for the business education programme in Taraba State.

The findings of this research project will contribute to the existing body of knowledge by providing insights into the perceptions of business educators regarding the use of e-learning applications for mitigating the impact of COVID-19 on the business education programme in Taraba State. The research will explore educators’ perspectives on the effectiveness of e-learning applications in delivering business education content, facilitating student engagement, and promoting learning outcomes. It will also identify the challenges encountered by educators in implementing e-learning, such as technological infrastructure limitations, access to devices and internet connectivity, student motivation, and pedagogical adaptations. Furthermore, the study will examine the potential benefits and limitations of e-learning for the business education programme in Taraba State, considering factors such as scalability, sustainability, and the overall educational experience.
