DESIGNING A CONCEPT OF OPERATIONS ARCHITECTURE FOR NEXT-GENERATION MULTI-ORGANIZATIONAL SERVICE NETWORKS 

Abstract:

As organizations continue to embrace digital transformation and interconnectedness, the need for efficient collaboration and service delivery across multiple organizations has become increasingly important. Next-generation multi-organizational service networks (MOSNs) have emerged as a promising solution to address this need. However, designing and managing such complex networks pose significant challenges.

This abstract presents a conceptual framework for designing a Concept of Operations (ConOps) architecture for next-generation MOSNs. The proposed architecture aims to provide a comprehensive and systematic approach to coordinating activities, managing resources, and ensuring effective communication among multiple organizations within the network.

The ConOps architecture encompasses various key components, including governance and policy frameworks, operational processes, information sharing mechanisms, and technological infrastructure. These components are designed to foster collaboration, streamline operations, and enhance service delivery across the network.

To develop the ConOps architecture, a thorough analysis of the requirements, capabilities, and constraints of the participating organizations is conducted. This analysis helps identify the necessary coordination mechanisms, performance metrics, and interoperability standards required for seamless integration among the diverse organizations.

Furthermore, the architecture incorporates advanced technologies such as cloud computing, Internet of Things (IoT), and blockchain to enable secure and efficient data exchange, process automation, and service orchestration within the network. These technologies ensure the scalability, reliability, and resilience of the MOSN architecture.

The proposed ConOps architecture is validated through a case study involving multiple organizations from different sectors. The case study demonstrates the effectiveness of the architecture in facilitating collaboration, optimizing resource allocation, and improving service quality across the network.

The findings from this research contribute to the body of knowledge on MOSNs and provide practical insights for organizations aiming to establish or enhance their multi-organizational service networks. The ConOps architecture offers a roadmap for designing and implementing effective governance structures, operational processes, and technological infrastructure, enabling organizations to leverage the full potential of next-generation MOSNs.
