THE PROVISION OF LEARNERS SUPPORT RESOURCES IN BUSINESS EDUCATION PROGRAMME IN OPEN UNIVERSITY, NIGERIA

ABSTRACT

This research project aims to investigate the provision of learner support resources in the business education program at Open University, Nigeria. Learner support resources play a crucial role in distance education settings, such as Open University, by providing students with the necessary tools, materials, and guidance to support their learning process. This study seeks to assess the availability and effectiveness of learner support resources in the business education program, identify gaps and challenges in their provision, and propose recommendations for enhancing learner support services.

A mixed-methods research design will be employed, combining surveys, interviews, and document analysis to gather data from business education students, faculty members, and administrators at Open University, Nigeria. The research objectives include evaluating the availability and utilization of learner support resources, assessing their effectiveness in facilitating student learning, and identifying challenges and gaps in their provision. The study will also gather recommendations from stakeholders for improving learner support services in the business education program.
