THE IMPACT OF REBRANDING BUSINESS EDUCATION IN NIGERIA THROUGH PROFESSIONALIZATION

ABSTRACT

This research project aims to examine the impact of rebranding business education in Nigeria through professionalization. Business education plays a vital role in equipping students with the skills and knowledge necessary for success in the dynamic and competitive business environment. However, there is a need to reposition and rebrand business education in Nigeria to align it with global standards and meet the demands of the evolving business landscape. This study seeks to explore the potential impact of professionalization efforts on rebranding business education, identify the key elements of professionalization, assess the current state of business education in Nigeria, examine the challenges and opportunities in professionalizing business education, and propose strategies for enhancing the impact of professionalization in Nigeria.

A mixed-methods research design will be employed, utilizing surveys, interviews, and document analysis to collect data from stakeholders in business education, including educators, students, employers, and industry professionals. The research objectives include examining the impact of professionalization on rebranding business education, identifying the key elements of professionalization, assessing the current state of business education in Nigeria, exploring challenges and opportunities in professionalizing business education, and proposing strategies for enhancing the impact of professionalization.
