EVALUATING THE EFFECTIVENESS OF BLOCKCHAIN-BASED SUPPLY CHAIN FINANCING IN THE HEALTH CARE INDUSTRY.
Abstract:
The health care industry faces numerous challenges in managing its complex supply chain, which involves the procurement, manufacturing, distribution, and payment processes. Traditional supply chain financing methods often suffer from inefficiencies, lack of transparency, and delays in payment settlements. Blockchain technology has emerged as a promising solution to address these issues by providing a decentralized and transparent platform for secure transactions. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of blockchain-based supply chain financing in the health care industry.
The research methodology involves a comprehensive literature review to identify the existing challenges in the health care supply chain and the potential benefits of implementing blockchain technology. Additionally, case studies and interviews with key stakeholders, such as hospitals, pharmaceutical companies, distributors, and financial institutions, will be conducted to gather empirical data.
The evaluation of the effectiveness of blockchain-based supply chain financing will focus on several key dimensions. These include the reduction of transaction costs, increased transparency and traceability, improved efficiency in payment settlements, enhanced security and privacy, and overall customer satisfaction. Quantitative and qualitative analysis techniques, such as cost-benefit analysis, process mapping, and stakeholder perception surveys, will be employed to assess the impact of blockchain technology on the supply chain financing process.
The findings of this study will contribute to the existing body of knowledge by providing insights into the potential benefits and challenges associated with adopting blockchain-based supply chain financing in the health care industry. The results will help health care organizations and policymakers make informed decisions regarding the implementation of blockchain technology in their supply chain financing operations.
