Abstract:
The integration of financial technology (fintech) solutions in various industries has significantly transformed traditional business practices, including risk management strategies. This study seeks to assess the impact of fintech on the risk appetite and risk management practices of pharmaceutical companies.
The rapid advancements in fintech have provided pharmaceutical companies with innovative tools and platforms to optimize risk management processes. Fintech solutions such as blockchain technology, artificial intelligence, and data analytics offer improved transparency, efficiency, and accuracy in risk assessment and mitigation. These technologies enable pharmaceutical companies to identify, evaluate, and respond to risks in real-time, thereby enhancing their risk management capabilities.
Furthermore, fintech has facilitated the development of alternative funding models, such as crowdfunding and peer-to-peer lending, which can reduce the reliance on traditional financing avenues. These new funding options can potentially impact the risk appetite of pharmaceutical companies by diversifying their sources of capital and reducing financial vulnerabilities.
