Abstract:
The modern pentathlon is a demanding and multifaceted sport consisting of five disciplines: fencing, swimming, horse riding, running, and shooting. To achieve optimal performance in each of these events, athletes must carefully consider various factors, including nutrition and hydration. This abstract provides a concise overview of the research conducted to analyze the impact of nutrition and hydration on modern pentathlon performance.

The study aimed to investigate the relationship between athletes’ dietary habits, hydration status, and their performance in the modern pentathlon. A comprehensive literature review was conducted to identify relevant studies, research articles, and scientific papers published within the last decade. The selected studies focused on examining the influence of nutrition and hydration on athletic performance, particularly in endurance-based and multi-discipline sports.

The findings indicate that proper nutrition and hydration play a crucial role in optimizing performance and enhancing recovery in the modern pentathlon.
