THE EVALUATION OF THE MDG 4 HIGH QUALITY OF CHILD MEDICAL SERVICES IN THE PUBLIC PRIMARY HEALTH CARE FACILITIES IN NNEWI NORTH LGA OF ANAMBRA STATE

Background.
The disease burden is disproportionately heavy on children since they are a vulnerable population. Numerous diseases that cause serious sickness and death in children in underdeveloped nations can be avoided by paying attention to providing high-quality child health services. One of the elements of primary health care is maternal and child health services, which include child health services. If adequate child health care is provided at the primary care level, this will result in a successful and efficient outcome, lower child morbidity and mortality rates, and eventually the achievement of MDG-4. The purpose of the study was to evaluate the level of child health services provided by the public PHC facilities in Nnewi North LGA, Anambra state, from September 15 through November 30, 2009.
